WARBIRD RADIO – We're on the ground at the 2025 National Warbird Operator Conference (NWOC), bringing listeners exclusive interviews with industry leaders shaping the future of vintage military aviation. Two brand-new episodes drop this Friday, February 7th, featuring exciting updates from Strix Aero, Aviation Depot, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

First up, Cory Miller of Strix Aero shares the latest on his company’s expanding capabilities. Founded in 2017, Strix Aero has become a leader in Allison 1710 engine restoration, combining modern engineering with historical expertise. With new carburetor overhaul capabilities and an engine overhaul shop in the works, Strix Aero is ensuring these legendary powerplants remain airworthy for years to come.

Also joining the show are Ethan and Emily Malavolti, the team behind Aviation Depot. Ethan, a professional pilot and warbird enthusiast, brings his experience flying the AT-6 Texan, B-25 Mitchell, and PT-22 to the business, supplying pilots and flight schools with high-quality training materials and accessories.

Finally, Warbird Radio sits down with AOPA President Darren Pleasance and Senior VP of the Air Safety Institute Mike Ginter—both experienced warbird pilots—to discuss the organization’s commitment to aviation safety and advocacy.

Don’t miss these special episodes, and mark your calendars for the next NWOC in February 2026! Tune in this Friday on WarbirdRadio.com.
